Watching Korean dramas or listening to K-Pop, you'd know that Koreans have the most clearest and most youthful complexion I've ever seen on a TV screen. That's why it's not surprising why Korean products have gained popularity over the last few months in western society.
From cleansing oils to sheet masks, here is a list of products that are popular in Korean skincare routines, used to obtain their complexion.
Korean beauty and skincare products can be bought in the U.K. and the US, most likely through an online retailer like YesStyle and other more notable sites (just make sure they are legit by reading reviews!)
SHEET MASKS
You may or may not have heard of sheet masks but they're are a phenomenon in Korea. TONYMOLY and Dr. Jart provide a whole selection of different masks aimed at different complexions and skin types.
SLEEPING MASKS
Sleeping masks are not only available in Korea but their market brought more attention to them in the last few months. The Laneige Sleeping Mask is one of the most popular ones on the market so if you'd like to try one out first, this would be the one to try!
CLEANSING OILS
If you've ever tried a cleansing oil before, then you'd know that they are a game changer! They are an effective way of taking off makeup or simply just cleansing your face in the morning or evening.
ESSENCE
'Essence is the heart of the Korean skincare routine, and it is a skincare category that was created in Korea,” Charlotte Cho, co-founder of Soko Glam, said. They're debately the most important part of one's skincare routine.
CLEANSERS
A cleanser is a necessity for an everyday skincare routine. The COSRX Low pH cleanser has been raved about by countless people and so it is definitely my next skincare purchase (and it's only £10, yes please!)
FACE MASK
Face masks are a phenomenon already worldwide, but Koreans are always changing the game. Bubble clay masks have recently gained popularity for its unusual consistency on the face, so again, another product I need to purchase!
TONER
I've read that a toner is a must-have in Korean skincare routines. The COSRX Clarifying Toner and the Blackhead/Whitehead Treatments are a need in your skincare routine, whether you're following the Korean version or not!
LIP MASK
I wouldn't classify this as a need in a skincare routine, but Korean's have been lusting over this Laneige Lip Mask and so it is a need for some in their skincare routine.
