REMEMBERING GIANNI VERSACE

Gianni Versace was an Italian fashion designer and founder of Versace, an international fashion house. Gianni showcased his first ever collection at the age of 32 and by the time of his death, he had built a fashion empire worth £500 million.

Gianni truly captured the supermodel movement of the 80's and 90''s. His F/W 1991 collection featured Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford arm in arm down the runway to "Freedom! 90" by George Michael. This moment will forever be remembered and Gianni's impact will never be forgotten.

We cannot recall the iconic fashion moments from the 90's without mentioning 90's Versace. 90's Versace was a mixture of women empowerment, femininity and sex appeal at the same time. Gianni never played it safe; it was all or nothing. His work will forever live on, which is evident as 20 years since his death on 15th July 1997, he is still remembered by most. Thank you Gianni Versace for sharing with us your passion and your work over the years. As a major fashionhouse, Versace will forever live on in your name.
