FAVOURITE SHOWS AT PFW (S/S 2018)

Fashion Month is at a close and its that time to rewind and reminisce our favourite shows.
Take a look at my top picks from PFW RTW 2018.

YSL
Who didn't love YSL this season? It took place in front of the Eiffel Tower...
LOCATION. LOCATION. LOCATION.

BALMAIN
If you would have told me a week ago that Balmain would been on my top picks list, I wouldn't have believed you. For the last few seasons, I have disliked Balmain. I thought it was very repetitive and focused more on the models than on the actual pieces of work. But funnily enough, this season I lusted over Balmain!

NINA RICCI
An absolute favourite of mine this PFW. The brand seems to have taken a different path and have changed their look... I'm completely and utterly here for it.

CHANEL
It's not a fashion week without someone mentioning how unoriginal and repetitive Chanel looks each season. But c'mon, Karl KNOWS how to put on a show. The set design and the PVC incorporated into the clothes and accessorises... YES PLEASE.

ALEXANDER McQUEEN
One word to describe the show... HAIR. Its all about the hair. Imagine you've been standing in the rain for hours, put on some RTW clothes and then had to walk the runway. Other than that, the shoes were also phenomenal. If I had the option, I'd bag those boots in a heartbeat.

VALENTINO
I mean, we still associate Valentino with the era of Maria Grazia Chiuri so a change of leadership has some getting used to but nevertheless it was a beautifully orchestrated collection and show. The makeup looks were soft and ethereal, a must for next spring!

CHRISTIAN DIOR
I mean it was an all-rounded beautiful show but I expected some more va-va-voom. You know? But it still impressed me enough to have it included on my list. My favourite look is the checkered co-ord (second from the left pictured below). Also, statement boots!!!

CHLOE
With the newly appointed Creative Director, I did expect a bold and effortless start. Natacha Ramsay-Levi certainly reached my expectations. That teal number? YES. YES. YES. We already know those bags and boots will be a big hit with celebrities and bloggers soon...

PACO RABANNE
Loved the use of metallics throughout the collection. With YSL and Paco Rabanne, its obvious that metallics have been a big hit this season.

ACNE STUDIOS
A pastel dream. Green has been a favourite colour for multiple designers this season, and I'm not complaining. A mix of sophistication and power suits, its a yes from me.
