THE FAD FOR PLAID

NEWSFLASH: Plaid is in.

It was only a handful of years ago that we longed for a plaid uniform because every Constance girl wore it on Gossip Girl, but now its back and better than ever. Thinking about it now, has plaid ever been out of style? No one knows where its come from and where its been, its just there.

This past fashion month (RTW S/S 2018), street style photographers have once again captured the essence of influences and socialites invited to the shows and what they would get caught wearing. We saw a reoccurring fad of different trends; feminine suits, monochromatic looks, streetwear and plaid. If it was your really lucky day, you saw plaid suits (which we did and we loved it). Theres nothing more chic and feminine than being able to pull off a well fitted suit and so this is where its come to.

We have a fad for plaid.

Today you can pick up a plaid piece for basically any shop on the high street or from an online retailer. From Primark (which I wouldn't recommend unless you want to buy into child labour, sweatshops and slavery) to Zara (middle ground option) to Miu Miu (luxurious craftsmanship), every brand will have an option. My personal favourite is Miu Miu, no one quite captures Manhattan's elite circa 2010 quite like it. Have you seen their wool sweaters? A NEED.
