Interior Inspiration

I've always had three main passions in life; fashion, faith and interior design. I used to dream about the day that I'd move into my own home and have the freedom to design everything, from the floors, to the curtains, to the bed frame. There's a thrill in knowing that one day there will be a search for the right house and all that comes along with it. I've found that Pinterest is very helpful for inspiration and to help organise photos into boards for later use. I've separated it into groups by the rooms in the house, e.g. Bedrooms and Bathrooms, to make it easier to navigate the photos.

THE BEDROOM

For th bedroom, I prefer rooms that are minimal; less is more. Bedrooms in white or beige to allow maximum brightness throughout the day. A King-Size bed with a decently sized headboard. Large windows and mirrors all around the room. Gold accents around the room (i.e. lights and decor). Juxtaposition between modern and vintage decor.

THE BATHROOM

Bathrooms are one of the only rooms where you can go all out and no one can say otherwise. Walls either pink, emerald free, royal blue, white or grey. Paintings and mirrors. Bathtub next to a window. Marble bathrooms; you either go all in or go home.

THE LIVING ROOM

White, cream or grey. Bookcase. Paintings. Large windows that overlook a breathtaking view. Chandelier. Large carpet to cover stone floors; no wooden floors throughout the house. Piano to teach the children how to play. White or grey sofas. Minimal aesthetic. Artwork across house.

THE KITCHEN

White or grey kitchen. Windows surrounding the kitchen to allow maximum light. Marble countertops, stone floors. Large space. Countertop with chairs or high stools. Brass hardwear.
