BAILEY'S BURBERRY

When we think of 17 years in terms of the length of time, for some of us that is a whole lifetime. But for Christopher Bailey? That was just his time at Burberry. Bailey joined Burberry in 2001 and became CEO and Creative Director of the brand less than half a decade ago. This week it was announced that Bailey is set to leave his role at Burberry by the end of 2018. We take this time to look back at his outstanding collections, memorialising his time at Burberry.


Should we be concerned that his departure comes only months after the British designer label hired a new chief executive? Other than this, Bailey was credited with helping transform Burberry from a small UK company into a global fashion brand, building its digital presence by streaming its fashion shows live and redesigning its flagship stores. They were also one of the first brands to enforce the new code of See-now, Buy-now which has proved popular with avid customers.
